Logistics Specialist - Rental Equipment Fleet

About the role

The Logistics Specialist manages and coordinates the movement of rental equipment across yards, customer sites and maintenance locations. The role ensures timely delivery, collection and availability of machines while optimizing fleet utilization, minimizing transportation costs and supporting both operations and sales.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate daily transportation of rental equipment (AWP, earthmoving, scaffolding, etc.), including deliveries, replacements, relocations and collections
• Coordinate with transporters, drivers and yard teams to ensure on-time movements
• Optimize vehicle routing and load planning, and track GPS and fleet movement for planning and reporting
• Monitor transportation KPIs such as on-time delivery rate and turnaround time
• Work with Sales, Service and Operations teams on scheduling and job planning, and support Sales with urgent deliveries
• Prepare delivery notes, collection reports, gate passes and movement permits, and keep equipment movement records up to date in the ERP
• Negotiate transport rates, track transporter invoices and reconcile movements with billing
• Monitor yard stock of available, under-maintenance and rented equipment and coordinate internal transfers between branches
• Support the asset team in physical equipment audits and generate weekly/monthly reports on movements, transporter costs and utilization

Required profile

• 3-6 years of logistics experience in the rental or heavy equipment industry
• Experience handling inter-branch equipment movements across the UAE
• Knowledge of equipment rental operations (AWP, earthmoving, heavy equipment)
