Logistics Team Leader

About the role

The Logistics Team Leader is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day logistics operations related to aircraft spares, tools and materials, ensuring timely movement, regulatory compliance and cost control while providing uninterrupted support to Air Arabia’s engineering and operational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise end‑to‑end logistics activities including imports, exports, cross‑trades, charters, courier movements, transshipments and local deliveries of aircraft parts and consumables.
• Coordinate AOG shipments, ensuring the fastest routing, complete documentation and customs clearance, and monitor shipment progress to resolve delays.
• Ensure compliance with GCAA, IATA, ICAO, customs and dangerous‑goods regulations, and verify the accuracy of all logistics documentation such as AWBs, commercial invoices and export declarations.
• Manage vendor performance, track logistics costs, validate freight invoices and support cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Lead a logistics support team, enforce SOPs, drive continuous improvement and handle audits with corrective actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Aviation Management or related field; IATA Cargo/DGR certification is a plus.
• 5–8 years of experience in aviation logistics or freight forwarding, with hands‑on expertise in AOG shipments, customs clearance and dangerous‑goods handling.
• Proven ability to work under pressure, coordinate multiple stakeholders and maintain a safety‑focused, compliance‑driven approach.

Required skills

• IATA Cargo/DGR certification (or equivalent knowledge).
• Proficiency with ERP and logistics management systems.
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
