Maintenance Supervisor

About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor manages all engineering and maintenance operations across Capital Motion's portfolio of restaurants and offices. The role covers buildings, grounds and physical assets with a strong focus on safety, security, regulatory compliance and asset protection, and also manages budgets, capital projects, preventive maintenance and energy conservation. It supports guest and employee satisfaction through communication and training.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the physical plant (HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, water treatment, electrical systems) and ensure compliance with local facility regulations and safety standards.
• Monitor utilities (heat, light, power), recommend energy-saving methods and develop service contracts.
• Distribute and oversee preventive maintenance and repair work orders, and supervise maintenance of restaurants, public areas, offices, vehicles and recreational spaces.
• Develop long-term preventive maintenance and asset protection plans, and lead capital expenditure projects from planning to execution.
• Liaise with contractors for bids and supervise construction or renovation projects.
• Inspect buildings and grounds, recommend repairs or replacements, maintain inventory of parts, tools and equipment, and keep licenses and certifications up to date.
• Maintain life safety systems (fire alarms, sprinklers, firefighting equipment).
• Assist in leading the emergency response team, train fire safety teams and train staff on safety, fire protection and evacuation procedures.
• Inspect guest areas, review guest feedback and implement corrective actions; demonstrate leadership in guest hospitality.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance staff, provide training and coaching, and support cross-departmental safety and emergency training.

Required profile

• Diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering (or related field).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities or maintenance supervision, preferably in hospitality or F&B.
• Strong knowledge of building systems, kitchen equipment and regulatory compliance.
• Experience managing multi-site operations is a strong advantage.
• Physical ability to stand, walk and move quickly for long periods, lift up to 50 kg, bend, reach and climb stairs, and work indoors and outdoors in hot, sunny, beachside conditions.
