Maintenance Technician - Kitchen Equipment

About the role

7 Management, a hospitality and management group established in 2015, is hiring a Maintenance Technician for kitchen equipment. The role covers maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing all kitchen and bar equipment so that operations run smoothly, safely and in line with standards, supporting the culinary and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair all types of kitchen and bar equipment, including cold, hot and dishwashing units, and inspect and test equipment after repairs
• Lead preventive maintenance tasks according to schedule
• Work with culinary and operations teams to fix equipment issues quickly and coordinate with suppliers and contractors for spare parts and specialist services
• Guide and supervise junior technicians on maintenance, installation and repair, ensuring quality and safety standards
• Maintain maintenance logs, service records and repair histories, help prepare equipment and spare part lists, and report critical issues to the Maintenance Manager

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certificate in Mechanical, Electrical or Refrigeration Engineering
• 5+ years of experience maintaining and repairing commercial kitchen and bar equipment
• Proven leadership in guiding and training junior technicians
• Experience with PPM, maintenance scheduling and inventory control
• Knowledge of control panels, sensors, gas/electrical systems and water lines
• Understanding of safety, HACCP and compliance standards
