Manager, Governance & Control – Wealth Management

About the role

The Manager, Governance & Control – Wealth Management ensures that the Wealth Management business complies with all regulatory requirements and internal control frameworks. The role proactively identifies risks, enhances operational efficiency, and supports a robust control environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain controls to ensure compliance with CBUAE, SCA and other regulatory requirements.
• Lead the dissemination and implementation of regulatory changes across Wealth Management in partnership with Compliance, Governance, HR and frontline teams.
• Act as the primary liaison with internal stakeholders such as Compliance, Shariah, ORM, CPR and BORM.
• Conduct regulatory gap analyses, drive process updates, and oversee closure of internal and external audit actions.
• Prepare and deliver governance and control reports to senior management and monitor operations for emerging risks.
• Coordinate regulatory engagement and periodic reporting with CBUAE, SCA and other regulators.
• Support internal audit reviews, product compliance reviews and new product launches.
• Drive digitalisation and automation initiatives for governance, controls and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of internal and external control frameworks and regulatory environments.
• Ability to analyse scenarios, anticipate risks and implement system enhancements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to work in a fast‑moving, complex environment.
• Customer service orientation and experience in handling complaints and issue resolution.

Required skills

• Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CBUAE, SCA, etc.).
• Proficiency in risk and control assessment methodologies (RCSA, KRIs, MIS reporting).
