Manager, Project Cost Optimization Studies

About the role

ADNOC HQ is looking for a Manager, Project Cost Optimization Studies, based in Abu Dhabi under an external contract. The role covers Project Cost Optimization Reviews and studies, providing recommendations to help group companies deliver efficient projects with optimized costs and maximum value, and ensuring major recommendations are explained clearly to top management.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate engineering options for projects due for cost optimization studies and ensure the latest technologies and best engineering solutions are implemented with stakeholder disciplines.
• Coordinate with Group Companies to prepare an annual plan for cost optimization studies and review engineering and cost documents submitted by the Project Management team.
• Hold preparation meetings with stakeholders, summarize main engineering findings, and take notes during optimization sessions.
• Prepare and comment on Cost Optimization Review study reports, and communicate findings to relevant directorates, including MEMOs to directors and top management.
• Share lessons learned and best practices, and consider levers such as AI, new technologies and sustainability to drive continuous improvement.
• Plan, supervise and train staff; contribute to budgets, policies and performance objectives; comply with HSE policies and sustainability guidelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• 15 years of experience in project management and engineering.
• Leadership, people management, planning, cost control, influencing, coaching and communication skills, with good command of English.
• Good knowledge of computer applications.
