Managing & Senior Consultant – Delay Analysis

About the role

HKA, a global consultancy specialising in risk mitigation and dispute resolution, is seeking experienced consultants to lead delay analysis services across a portfolio of construction, infrastructure, energy and engineering projects in the Middle East. You will work alongside senior experts to evaluate project performance, identify critical delay events and produce robust analyses for advisory and dispute resolution purposes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review delay analyses using recognised industry methodologies such as Time Impact Analysis and Windows Analysis.
• Analyse project schedules, programme updates, progress records and related documentation to assess causes and impacts of delays.
• Support the preparation of expert reports for arbitration, litigation and other dispute resolution proceedings.
• Conduct programme reviews, schedule audits and project‑controls assessments, managing workstreams to ensure successful client engagements.
• Build strong client relationships through high‑quality technical delivery and contribute to business development activities.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Significant experience on major construction, infrastructure, engineering or energy projects.
• Strong expertise in Primavera P6 and managing or analysing complex project schedules.
• Proven experience undertaking delay analysis, forensic planning or project‑controls assignments.
• Knowledge of recognised delay‑analysis methodologies (Time Impact Analysis, Windows Analysis, As‑Planned vs As‑Built).
• Excellent analytical, report‑writing and communication skills; professional body membership (e.g., AACE, CIOB, ICE) is desirable.
