Marine Sales Officer

About the role

A well-established company with 33 years in the UAE is looking for an experienced Marine Sales Officer to join its shipchandler and marine services business. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the maritime industry, manage and grow the portfolio of key accounts and drive revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with key clients such as ship owners, ship management companies and other stakeholders.
• Act as main point of contact for key accounts, handling inquiries, concerns and service requests professionally.
• Tailor solutions and services to each account's specific needs.
• Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
• Collaborate with operations, logistics and finance teams to deliver services and products.
• Hold regular business reviews with key accounts and prepare performance, sales and market reports for management.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and competitors, and take part in industry events and networking to generate leads.
• Forecast and work proactively.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marine Industry / Marine Engineering (mandatory).
• Proven experience as a Marine Sales Officer, minimum 2 years.
• In-depth knowledge of shipchandler and marine services, including vessel operations and industry regulations.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of managing key accounts and meeting sales targets.
• Fluency in English and marine terminology (additional languages are a plus).

• Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
