Mason – Construction & Maintenance

About the role

The Mason will join the maintenance team at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, a five‑star beachfront hotel in Abu Dhabi, to perform a range of masonry and civil repair tasks ensuring the property’s high standards are maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out brickwork, blockwork, plastering and concrete repairs.
• Install and repair floor and wall tiles.
• Perform minor civil works such as patching, grouting and finishing.
• Repair cracks, leaks and damaged walls or surfaces.
• Ensure proper mixing of cement, mortar and other materials.
• Follow safety procedures and keep the work area clean.
• Coordinate with other maintenance team members as needed.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders.
• Inspect building areas to identify repair and maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Mason, preferably in hotel or commercial buildings.
• Physically fit and able to handle manual work.
• Knowledge of safety standards and procedures.

Required skills

• Masonry techniques and tools.
• Brickwork, blockwork, plastering, concrete repair.
• Tile installation (floor and wall).
• Reading basic drawings and measurements.
• Mixing cement, mortar and related materials.
