Material Inspector – Civil Works

About the role

Parsons is seeking a Material Inspector for civil works to ensure that all construction materials and activities meet project quality standards in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with the project laboratory, QA/QC team, and on‑site contractors to verify compliance and support successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare inspection reports, test reports, and site records according to project quality procedures.
• Perform civil and structural material tests (soil compaction, moisture content, aggregate gradation, concrete slump, air entrainment, compressive strength, coring) in coordination with the laboratory.
• Inspect civil and structural works to verify compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and workmanship standards.
• Receive Material Inspection Requests (MIR), inspect delivered materials, verify quantities and technical compliance, and sign off MIRs.
• Maintain complete records of inspections, test results, and execution of works.
• Ensure implementation of quality control procedures and communicate progress and quality information to the project team.
• Coordinate documentation activities for project handover, including as‑built records and quality dossiers.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in Abu Dhabi.
• Proficiency in basic computer applications such as MS Office and experience preparing inspection reports and documentation.
