Mathematics Teacher - AY27/28

About the role

Aldar Education, a leading education group in Abu Dhabi with schools from nursery through adult education, is seeking a Mathematics teacher to join its growing family of schools starting in the 2027-28 academic year. The role is full-time and involves delivering lessons that inspire students to succeed, working with colleagues, parents and professionals, and embedding the school's language and attitudes in the curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and present engaging lessons covering the whole ability range, and collaborate with colleagues and curriculum support staff
• Organise classroom provision and learning resources, and create displays that encourage a positive learning environment
• Assess and observe pupils, record progress in Target Tracker, use assessment data to inform planning and intervention, and give feedback to parents at conferences
• Manage behaviour in line with the school policy, act as a positive role model and maintain good relationships with pupils
• Meet with professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists where needed
• Work in a curriculum action group, take part in school events and run a weekly ECA each term
• Communicate with parents and carers about achievements and well-being using school systems such as CPOMS

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education with a mandatory post-teaching qualification (PGCE)
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience
• Mandatory experience teaching the England National Curriculum
• Experience with EAL students
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance; offers are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance
• Strong safeguarding and child protection knowledge

Required skills

• IT literate and familiar with online technologies for teaching
• Ability to prioritise workload and multitask
• Strong communication with parents in a diverse, multicultural environment
