Mechanical Draughtsman – Water & Wastewater Treatment

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Draughtsman to join our engineering team in Sharjah, focusing on water and wastewater treatment projects. The role involves preparing precise mechanical drawings and 3D models, and collaborating with engineers, procurement, fabrication, and site teams to ensure project success.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare general arrangement, P&ID, fabrication, piping, and detailed mechanical drawings.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit.
• Produce isometric, equipment, and piping layout drawings for project execution.
• Create and update pipe support designs, applying pipe velocity criteria and material specifications.
• Draft and revise Electrical & Instrumentation drawings, coordinating with mechanical designs.
• Support engineers with material take‑offs, bill of materials, and equipment layout improvements.
• Review and revise drawings based on client, consultant, and site feedback, ensuring compliance with standards.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and ensure timely issuance of the latest versions.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of mechanical drafting experience in UAE water and wastewater treatment projects.
• Proven experience with piping systems, process plants, and pipe support design.
• Strong knowledge of pipe velocity criteria and materials of construction.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project documents.
