Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor – Pumping Stations

About the role

Six Construct is looking for a Mechanical & Electrical Supervisor to lead maintenance activities at its assigned pumping stations. You will ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of all mechanical and electrical assets while supporting the Engineer in meeting operational priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily mechanical maintenance activities across assigned pumping stations.
• Lead and supervise daily electrical, instrumentation, control and automation (EICA) maintenance activities.
• Coordinate and guide teams of Mechanics, Electricians, Helpers and other personnel.
• Plan and organise spare parts, tools, consumables and resources in collaboration with the Engineer.
• Conduct task risk assessments and implement mitigation measures before work execution.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical equipment failures and provide technical support.
• Adjust maintenance schedules in response to breakdowns, emergencies, weather or resource constraints.
• Allocate tasks, monitor performance and resolve operational issues or team conflicts.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with HSE procedures and permits.
• Prepare and submit daily maintenance and progress reports.
• Oversee assembly, installation, alignment and maintenance of pumps, valves, relief valves, surge vessels, OCUs, coarse screens, diesel pumps and rotating equipment.
• Read, interpret and implement work based on mechanical drawings, manuals and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Proven ability to lead and coordinate maintenance teams.
• Experience planning resources, spare parts and consumables.
• Strong focus on safety and HSE compliance.

Required skills

• Mechanical maintenance of pumps, valves, relief valves, surge vessels, OCUs, coarse screens, diesel pumps and rotating equipment.
• Electrical, instrumentation, control and automation maintenance.
• Troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, manuals and technical documentation.
• Conducting risk assessments and implementing mitigation measures.
• Use of tools, machinery, PPE and safety equipment.
