Mechanical Quantity Surveyor – Oil & Gas EPC

About the role

Target Engineering is looking for an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to support quantity measurement, progress verification, reconciliation, and reporting across major oil and gas EPC projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare quantity take‑offs from IFC drawings, isometrics, approved MTOs and engineering deliverables.
• Monitor fabrication and installation quantities for piping, structural steel, mechanical equipment and modules.
• Verify subcontractor progress claims and support invoice certification processes.
• Perform quantity reconciliation between engineering, procurement and construction records.
• Support progress measurement, earned value management and prepare weekly/monthly quantity and progress reports.
• Identify quantity growth trends, variations and change‑order impacts, and assist forecasting of remaining quantities and manpower requirements.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of EPC experience in Oil & Gas, LNG, petrochemical or energy infrastructure.
• Proven experience in quantity surveying for piping, structural steel, static and rotating equipment, and module fabrication.
• Experience in fabrication yard and site construction environments.
• Strong knowledge of progress measurement, earned value management and quantity reporting.
