Mechanical Technician – Dry Process Sand Plant

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join our dry‑process sand plant in Liwa, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical equipment to ensure high availability and safe operation.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspection, preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on crushers, vibrating screens, feeders, belt conveyors, idlers, rotary and fluid‑bed dryers, silos and material‑handling systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures, replace bearings, gearboxes, belts, couplings, shafts and seals, and carry out alignment, tensioning and lubrication tasks.
• Monitor plant performance, report abnormalities and support root‑cause analysis to minimise downtime.
• Assist with plant start‑up, shutdown and commissioning, and support installation or upgrades of mechanical systems.
• Follow UAE HSE regulations, permit‑to‑work, lock‑out/tag‑out and confined‑space procedures, and use required PPE at all times.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, checklists and spare‑parts requisitions.

Required profile

• Diploma, ITI or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in dry sand processing plants, aggregate or quarry operations, or similar industrial environments.
