Medical Advisor – Vaccines (Gulf)

About the role

MSD is seeking a Medical Advisor for its Vaccines portfolio covering the Gulf region. The role will drive the implementation of medical affairs strategies, ensuring scientific exchange and supporting patient outcomes across the United Arab Emirates and neighboring markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the country medical affairs plan for vaccines, translating global goals into local tactics.
• Engage with external scientific community, including healthcare professionals, societies and health organisations, to build trust and facilitate peer‑to‑peer exchange.
• Provide balanced, non‑promotional scientific information in line with company standards and local regulations.
• Lead country Group Input Meetings, gather medical insights and feed them into corporate strategy.
• Design and deliver scientific educational activities that position MSD as a partner to the medical community.
• Support clinical research by identifying suitable sites and investigators for global and local vaccine studies.
• Conduct medical training for commercial, access, sales and regulatory teams.
• Assist pharmacovigilance with timely adverse event reporting and data assessment.

Required profile

• Physician or pharmacist degree.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferably within Medical Affairs.
• Experience in the vaccines therapeutic area is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation abilities.
