MEP Engineer - Power Projects

About the role

This is an MEP engineer position within the Engineering department, focused on power projects. The engineer is responsible for the design review, coordination, site supervision, installation, testing and commissioning of MEP systems, ensuring they are carried out in line with approved designs, project specifications, client requirements, applicable standards and HSE requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Design review of MEP systems for power projects
• Coordination of HVAC, fire protection, service water/plumbing, EOT crane, lighting and small power systems
• Site supervision, installation, testing and commissioning of MEP systems
• Ensuring work follows approved designs, specifications, client requirements, standards and HSE rules

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• 5-8 years of relevant MEP engineering experience, preferably on power/substation projects
• Experience in MEP design review, site supervision, installation, testing and commissioning
• Experience coordinating MEP contractors, consultants, vendors and multidisciplinary engineering teams
• Excellent English; Arabic is an added advantage

Required skills

• Good knowledge of MEP systems, installation methods and testing and commissioning requirements
• Review of design calculations, drawings, specifications and submittals
• Coordination of civil, electrical and MEP interfaces
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
