MEP Project Engineer

About the role

The MEP Project Engineer manages, coordinates and delivers all Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing installation works on-site for UAE-based projects. The role ensures MEP systems are built in line with the Saudi Building Code, Civil Defense requirements, approved designs, safety standards and project schedules, while keeping quality and costs under control.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage on-site MEP installation, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and ELV, coordinating with civil, structural and architectural teams
• Review shop drawings, material submittals and technical clarifications with consultants and subcontractors, and support resolution of design conflicts
• Supervise MEP subcontractors and site labour, enforcing quality standards and safety plans
• Coordinate inspections and approvals with Saudi Civil Defense and other authorities, and prepare installations for testing and certification
• Support procurement by reviewing technical specifications and monitoring delivery, storage and installation of materials
• Track installation progress, coordinate testing, commissioning and pre-commissioning, and prepare as-built drawings and O&M manuals
• Resolve technical, quality, safety and progress issues, and propose constructability improvements and value engineering
• Maintain interface risk registers, sequencing plans and package interface matrices, and lead coordination workshops with consultants and subcontractors

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent)
• Minimum 5-7 years of MEP installation experience, with at least 3-5 years in the UAE
• UAE Professional Accreditation is required
• Proven experience managing MEP works on industrial facilities, logistics warehouses, large commercial or infrastructure projects
• Hands-on experience with split-package or multiple subcontractor MEP management
• Fluency in English is essential
