MEP Project Manager

About the role

An established turnkey MEP contractor is looking for an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead project execution and deliver major MEP works in Abu Dhabi. The role involves leading multidisciplinary teams, coordinating with stakeholders and ensuring quality, safety and performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full lifecycle of MEP projects, from planning and mobilisation through execution, testing, commissioning and handover.
• Oversee HVAC, electrical, plumbing and firefighting systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, budgets, resource plans and procurement schedules.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers, and resolve project challenges.
• Maintain client relationships and coordinate with relevant UAE authorities.
• Monitor costs, variations, contractual obligations and commercial performance.
• Ensure compliance with quality assurance, HSE requirements, UAE regulations and industry standards.
• Identify risks, implement corrective measures and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• 18-20 years of progressive experience in MEP project management in construction or engineering.
• Solid knowledge of UAE (especially Abu Dhabi) building regulations, authority approvals and project delivery standards.
• Proven experience managing large-scale, complex MEP projects from start to finish.
• Demonstrated leadership of multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC and firefighting systems.
• Project planning, cost management, contract administration and risk mitigation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making.
