MEP Quantity Surveyor

About the role

AECOM is looking for an experienced MEP Quantity Surveyor to join its team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role plays a key part in securing the financial success of projects through accurate cost estimation, contract management and cost optimisation. It sits within the Survey & Estimation career area of the ME and Africa business group.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with all aspects of MEP pre-contract services across concept, schematic and detailed design phases, including measurement, cost planning and production of Bill of Quantities (BoQs).
• Help prepare tender and contract documents.
• Contribute to value engineering and viability studies.
• Assess, evaluate and recommend on financial claims and help settle them.
• Support evaluation of change management, including variations, additional works, field changes, additions and omissions, and incorporate them into monthly cost reports.
• Prepare and price Change Orders and negotiate agreements with the client and contractor.
• Carry out viability studies and cost estimates.
• Support the team during negotiations, arbitration or other forms of dispute resolution.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Quantity Surveying.
• 5 years of MEP Quantity Surveyor experience in the Middle East.
