Mid-Level Technical Landscape Architect

About the role

This mid-level Landscape Architect supports the technical development, coordination and delivery of landscape projects from concept validation through detailed design, tender and construction. The role covers production and coordination of technical documentation, specifications, construction details, schedules and design packages, ensuring compliance with project requirements, authority regulations, quality standards, budgets and programme objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed landscape design packages from schematic design through tender and IFC stages, including construction details, sections, elevations, schedules and technical drawings.
• Review design information for accuracy, quality and compliance, and coordinate technical deliverables according to project programmes.
• Coordinate with architects, urban designers, civil and structural engineers, MEP consultants and irrigation specialists; resolve design clashes and review consultant and contractor submissions.
• Assist in preparing technical specifications and manage RFIs, technical queries, design revisions and changes.
• Evaluate materials, construction methods and landscape elements for durability and maintainability, and support cost-effective, buildable solutions.
• Support tendering and construction: review shop drawings, material submittals, samples, method statements and RFIs, conduct site inspections, prepare non-compliance reports and assist with snagging, punch lists and close-out.
• Work with Senior Landscape Architects, guide junior team members and take part in technical reviews and lessons-learned workshops.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
• Minimum 5-8 years of professional experience in landscape architecture.
• Strong experience in detailed design, technical documentation and construction support.
• Proven experience in landscape construction detailing and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with local authority requirements and approval processes; Middle East experience preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Advantageous: Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Navisworks, PDF editing software and construction communication platforms.
• Knowledge of hardscape and softscape design, irrigation systems, grading and levels, landscape construction methodologies, submittal reviews, material specifications and QA/QC procedures.
