MLRO / Financial Crime Manager

About the role

The MLRO / Financial Crime Manager is the designated Money Laundering Reporting Officer and Compliance Officer for Edenred UAE, responsible for the end‑to‑end AML/CFT program and for liaising with regulators and law‑enforcement agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Design, own and continuously improve the organization’s AML/CFT governance, policies, procedures and controls in line with UAE law and international standards.
• Detect, investigate and decide on filing of suspicious activity reports (SAR/STR), manage post‑filing actions and maintain internal watchlists.
• Lead regular AML/CFT risk assessments and oversee sanctions, watchlist and PEP screening programmes.
• Act as primary contact for the CBUAE, FIU and law‑enforcement, handling production orders and data requests.
• Design, tune and review transaction monitoring and fraud detection rules, and manage the FinCrime and Fraud team.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in AML/CFT compliance, preferably within the UAE regulatory environment.
• Proven ability to lead a compliance team and work independently on high‑risk decisions.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with a track record of handling SAR/STR filings.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UAE AML/CFT regulations, CBUAE guidelines and international standards.
• Experience with transaction monitoring systems, sanctions screening and PEP databases.
• Ability to prepare and present detailed compliance reports to senior management and boards.
