Multi-Discipline Inspector (Mechanical/Electrical/Welding)

About the role

The Inspector will ensure compliance with vendor and manufacturer quality systems, review and verify technical documentation, and carry out inspections of materials, welding, NDT, and pressure equipment for onshore and offshore oil & gas projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and verify vendor/manufacturer documents against purchase orders, material specifications and relevant codes.
• Conduct material receiving inspections, witness and endorse welding procedures and welder qualifications.
• Approve Inspection & Test Plans, material certificates, welding procedures and NDT reports.
• Monitor, inspect and approve all welding, PWHT, hydro‑static and pneumatic testing activities.
• Inspect pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pressurised piping and structural works during fabrication.
• Raise non‑conformance reports and verify corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare concise weekly and monthly inspection reports.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Welding or Metallurgical Engineering with at least 12 years of experience in onshore/offshore oil & gas inspection.
• Proven experience liaising with EPC contractors and preparing technical reports in English.
• Computer literate and familiar with codes such as ASME, AWS, API, DNV, ISO and BS.

Required skills

• CSWIP 3.2, AWS‑Senior, CWI or ERS welding inspection certification.
• PCN Level II, BGAS Level 2 or NACE Level 1 certification.
• Advanced NDT methods and ability to assess NDT procedures.
• Inspection of welding, PWHT, hydro‑static/pneumatic testing, radiography and material preservation.
• Knowledge of ASME, API, AWS, DNV, ISO and BS standards.
• Preparation and review of multidisciplinary ITPs, procedures, NCRs and concession requests.
