Multi-Skilled Technician - Bulgari Resort Dubai

About the role

Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, a portfolio of brands owned by Marriott International, is hiring a full-time, non-management multi-skilled technician for its resort in Jumeirah Bay Island, Dubai. The role covers guest repair requests, preventive maintenance and basic repairs across a range of systems, with a focus on hospitality service.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests and communicate with guests about maintenance issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, and visually inspect tools, equipment and machines.
• Carry equipment such as tools and radios, and identify, locate and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs.
• Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies.
• Report daily activities and problems to other shifts through approved communication channels.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and replace light bulbs and A/C filters, then clean up the work area.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing (plunge toilets, unclog drains), electrical components, lamps, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, switches and outlets, and other guestroom items.
• Program TVs, perform general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
• Use the Lockout/Tagout system before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping and external sprinklers.
• Enter air handler schedules and make temperature changes on a computer.
• Welcome guests, anticipate their needs, assist people with disabilities and follow safety, security and company policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
• Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation and painting preferred.
• Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Driver's license required.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge or ability to learn air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and general building.
• Basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and changing temperatures.
