About the role

American Gulf School is expanding its Middle Years Programme (MYP) and seeks an inspirational Science Teacher to deliver high‑quality instruction to its students in Sharjah. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of learners.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging MYP Science lessons aligned with the IB framework.
• Integrate technology effectively into classroom teaching.
• Engage constructively with students, parents, and staff to support learning outcomes.
• Maintain high standards of academic performance and assessment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree minimum; Master’s degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an American or IB school.
• Teaching credential or license.
• Native‑like English proficiency or IELTS score of 8 or higher.
• Degree in Science, Physics, Chemistry, or Biology.
• Proven record of excellent classroom teaching and pedagogical practice.
