Newborn Care Nurse (Private Household)

About the role

An experienced, caring and professional Newborn Care Nurse is sought to provide dedicated care for a newborn in a private household in Dubai. The ideal candidate has a strong background in neonatal or maternity nursing, excellent knowledge of newborn development and the ability to create a safe, hygienic and nurturing environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide attentive, professional care for the newborn and monitor health, feeding patterns, sleeping routines and overall well-being.
• Support breastfeeding and bottle feeding, burping and sterilization of feeding equipment.
• Handle diaper changes, bathing, dressing and daily hygiene, and establish healthy sleeping and feeding routines in line with pediatric guidance.
• Monitor developmental milestones and report any concerns to the parents.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the nursery, clothing and equipment, and accompany the family to pediatric appointments when required.
• Recognize signs of illness or medical emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Maintain strict confidentiality and respect the family's privacy.

Required profile

• Nursing diploma or bachelor's degree in nursing.
• Previous experience caring for newborns, preferably in a private household, maternity ward or neonatal unit.
• Experience with newborns aged 0-6 months, and preferably as a private maternity nurse or newborn care specialist.
• Experience supporting first-time parents and willingness to travel with the family when required.
• References from previous employers preferred.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of newborn safety, hygiene, feeding and development.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Infant CPR and first-aid certification preferred.
• Willingness to work flexible hours as required by the family.
