NPI Procurement Project Manager

About the role

Eaton, a power management company with about 96,000 employees and customers in more than 175 countries, is looking for an NPI Procurement Project Manager. The role leads end-to-end supply chain activities for complex Engineer-to-Order (ETO) New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, ensuring supplier readiness, competitive cost, risk mitigation, industrialization and a successful transition to serial production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead supply chain activities from early product development through industrialization, production ramp-up and stabilization.
• Translate engineering and customer requirements into sourcing and supply chain strategies.
• Develop sourcing strategies and coordinate supplier qualification, industrialization, launch readiness and performance.
• Partner with Engineering, Quality, Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing and GPO teams to meet cost, quality, delivery and timeline objectives.
• Manage complex BOMs, component sourcing, supplier shortages, engineering changes, supply chain risks and project milestones.
• Drive supplier engagement, issue resolution, escalation management and risk mitigation.
• Lead product cost management, support TCO optimization, VA/VE, Design-to-Cost and continuous cost reduction.
• Ensure a smooth handover to operational procurement and supply chain teams after production stabilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
• 5-8 years of supply chain experience, ideally in strategic procurement, sourcing or supply chain planning.
• At least 4 years in sourcing, supplier management, escalation management and shortage mitigation.
• Experience with NPI, product launches, industrial transfers or manufacturing operations.
• Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.

Required skills

• SAP/ERP knowledge, Power BI, Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Project and program management, strategic sourcing and supplier management.
• Knowledge of ProLaunch 2.0, APQP or Stage-Gate is a plus.
• Stakeholder management in a global matrix environment and strong communication skills.
