Officer Airside Operations Training

About the role

The Officer Airside Operations Training supports the Senior Officer in delivering competency‑based training for all airside staff. The role ensures training records are accurate, regulatory compliance is met, and safety standards are upheld across airport operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning, conducting and finalising staff competency checks.
• Maintain up‑to‑date training, certification and assessment records.
• Coordinate scheduling and delivery of training with Training & Development and Etihad Aviation Training.
• Support the creation and revision of training materials, checklists and competency frameworks aligned with ICAO Annexes and GCAA CAR requirements.
• Monitor compliance and prepare periodic reports on training activities and gaps.
• Participate in training audits and provide documentation to regulators.
• Act as a training assessor across all airports and deliver courses when the Senior Officer is absent.
• Assist airside operations as needed and promote a strong safety culture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation, Training or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in airside operations, safety or training.
• Familiarity with ICAO Annex 14, GCAA CAR Part IX and related aviation regulations.
• Understanding of competency‑based training and assessment methodologies.
• Strong documentation, record‑keeping and coordination abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS).
