Operations Manager - Regulated Crypto Presence, Abu Dhabi

About the role

Coinbase is looking for an Operations Manager in Abu Dhabi to help scale its regulated presence in the UAE. The role partners directly with the Senior Executive Officer to drive operational excellence across the core trading businesses, combining operational strategy, regulatory compliance and cross-functional execution.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Senior Executive Officer in overseeing operational functions within ADGM, including intragroup and third-party service providers, aligned with local regulations and contracts
• Own the implementation of operational policies, procedures, SLA frameworks and risk management processes
• Build supervision frameworks for trading, staking and custody operations, and operational resilience frameworks covering risk identification, contingency planning and vulnerability mitigation
• Coordinate responses to operational incidents and communicate with internal stakeholders, regulators and third parties
• Manage relationships with banks, regulators and internal stakeholders on operational and risk strategy
• Project manage operations and risk initiatives across Legal, Compliance, Security, Finance, Product and Customer Service
• Support first-line-of-defense operations such as launch assessments, approvals, staffing and audits

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in Middle East financial services, management or strategy consulting, or operations strategy
• Experience in a regulated investment dealer environment, with trade supervision across crypto, equities or derivatives
• Familiarity with the crypto/Web3 landscape, including digital asset markets and tokenization
