Operations Planning Engineer (Site)

About the role

The Engineer Operations Planning (Site) prepares overall maintenance and shutdown plans for offshore assets, monitors execution tools and supports stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery of maintenance schemes, shutdowns and related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Integrity, Production, Projects and Maintenance Support teams to develop shutdown plans, short‑ and long‑term work programmes for major schemes and projects.
• Produce and update the Seven‑Year Integrated Activity Plan covering engineering, maintenance schemes, barge/boat plans, WHT campaigns, major inspections, overhauls and shutdowns.
• Develop and maintain maintenance barge plans and the bedding plan for each scheme in coordination with job officers.
• Prepare and monitor the major maintenance budget and its phasing.
• Create worklists for WHT major maintenance and schedule execution of maintenance campaigns.
• Track deviations from work programmes, report impacts to team leaders and recommend corrective actions.
• Liaise with planning, cost coordination and commercial units to ensure proper monitoring of duration, target dates, resources, materials and cost control.
• Supervise, train and develop assigned staff to meet functional objectives and departmental performance targets.
• Provide input for section/department budgets and support implementation of approved budgets and work plans.
• Implement approved policies, processes, systems and standards in line with company and international requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience in preparing and managing shutdown and maintenance work programmes for large‑scale industrial projects.
• Ability to monitor budgets, resources and schedule deviations and to propose corrective measures.
• Experience in coordinating with multiple internal stakeholders and external commercial parties.
• Capability to supervise and train staff and to contribute to departmental performance objectives.
