Operations Project Manager - Maritime

About the role

Jifmar, a worldwide maritime operator that chartered workboats and supports clients' maritime projects since 2005, is looking for an Operations Project Manager in Dubai. You will be the main point of reference for everything happening on and around your assigned vessels, from crew coordination and safety to cost control and contract execution. You will act as the link between ship and shore, often visiting vessels yourself.

Key responsibilities

• Own day-to-day vessel operations and ensure they match the client's contract, from timelines to technical details
• Manage project costs in real time and follow financial performance with the commercial team
• Act as first point of contact for clients and keep relationships strong
• Support the crew and make sure they meet reporting, maintenance and housekeeping requirements
• Keep project data accurate in the company's ERP systems
• Follow up on overdue payments diplomatically
• Work daily with commercial, technical, crewing and QHSSE teams

Required profile

• Degree in Maritime Operations, Shipping & Transport or equivalent experience; being at sea is an advantage
• Familiarity with maritime procedures such as contracts and QHSSE
• Fluent English and comfort in multicultural settings
• Flexibility, as ships do not run 9 to 5 and visits to vessels are part of the job
• Experience in the Middle East and knowledge of local maritime operations (e.g. ADNOC, ARAMCO)

Required skills

• Natural leadership and strong communication
• Hands-on problem solving
• Commercial awareness and collaboration in fast-paced environments
