Paralegal – Legal Support for Luxury Fashion Brand

About the role

The Paralegal will provide comprehensive legal and administrative support to the Legal Department of Carter & White, a luxury fashion brand operating across the GCC and international markets. Working in a fast‑paced retail environment, the role demands meticulous attention to detail, confidentiality, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, proofread and format commercial agreements; maintain the contract database and track renewals, expirations and notice periods.
• Maintain corporate records, licences and statutory documents; prepare board resolutions, powers of attorney and meeting minutes.
• Conduct legal research on UAE laws, employment regulations, commercial matters, intellectual property and international business issues; summarize findings for management.
• Assist with compliance programmes, anti‑bribery, AML, sanctions, data privacy and corporate governance initiatives; keep compliance registers and reporting logs.
• Maintain trademark, copyright and brand asset records; coordinate registrations, renewals and monitor unauthorised use.
• Support litigation by coordinating with external counsel, preparing documentation, maintaining files and tracking court dates and expenses.
• Review retail lease agreements, support franchise, distribution, supplier and procurement contracts, and assist with real‑estate transactions for new store openings.
• Prepare employment‑related legal documents, assist with disciplinary matters and employee disputes, and ensure confidentiality of employee legal records.
