Part-time Music Instructor

About the role

Abu Dhabi University is seeking a part‑time Music Instructor to join the Department of Communication within the College of Arts, Education and Social Sciences. The successful candidate will deliver undergraduate music courses for the Spring semester, contributing to the university’s vibrant, multicultural learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate music courses, covering both theory and practice.
• Prepare and deliver lecture materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Engage with a diverse student body and support their academic development.
• Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or PhD in Music, Musicology, Ethnomusicology, Music Education, or a closely related field.
• Strong knowledge of Western and Arab music traditions.
• Prior university‑level teaching experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

• Ability to design and deliver curriculum for undergraduate students.
