Part‑time BTEC Lecturer – Animation

About the role

Regent Institute Middle East is looking for a part‑time BTEC Lecturer to teach Animation at its Dubai Knowledge Park campus. The role focuses on practical, industry‑oriented teaching, helping students develop advanced animation skills and build professional portfolios. The lecturer will also mentor multilingual learners and ensure alignment with Pearson standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan assessments and develop Pearson‑aligned assignment briefs.
• Deliver practical animation teaching sessions and demonstrations.
• Provide formative and summative assessments, feedback, and academic guidance.
• Participate in standardisation meetings and Pearson Standards Verification processes.
• Support students with tutoring, progression, retention, and professional readiness.
• Assist with academic department activities involving students and visitors.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Animation, Visual Effects, Digital Media or a related field.
• Minimum two years of teaching experience, preferably in vocational or higher education.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in an animation studio or production house.
• An Assessor Certificate in Vocational Education is advantageous.

Required skills

• Strong practical knowledge of 2D animation software.
• Strong practical knowledge of 3D animation software.
• Proficiency with post‑production tools.
