Pastry and Bakery Commis II

About the role

Four Seasons Hotel Abu Dhabi at Al Maryah Island is hiring a Pastry and Bakery Commis II. The role assists the chefs in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen and helps maintain a high standard and quality of food preparation. It is a full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing food items according to standard procedures, recipe cards and instructions from senior chefs.
• Support the Commis I, Demi Chef de Partie and Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations.
• Keep workstations, equipment and utensils clean, sanitized and organised at all times.
• Maintain basic knowledge of food handling, hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Receive, check and properly store deliveries as instructed.
• Perform other related duties or tasks assigned by senior kitchen staff or management, and tasks or projects assigned by the Sous Chef or Executive Pastry Chef.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role in a luxury brand.
• Outgoing personality and a can-do approach to assigned tasks.
• High level of understanding and knowledge of kitchen operations.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in English (speaking, reading and writing).
• Basic knowledge of food handling, hygiene and sanitation standards.
