Pastry Chef - IndoPersian

About the role

Wynn Al Marjan Island, the first integrated resort in the UAE set to open in 2027, is looking for a Pastry Chef for its IndoPersian kitchen within the Culinary team. The resort will be located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in Ras Al Khaimah and will include 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theater, a beach club, a five-star spa and a shopping promenade.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the IndoPersian Pastry kitchen to ensure efficiency, consistency and adherence to culinary standards.
• Monitor resource consumption and optimise the use of equipment, ingredients and inventory.
• Develop weekly set menus, monthly promotions and seasonal offerings with the Executive Chef.
• Prepare and present dishes according to recipes, quality standards and presentation guidelines.
• Lead, coach and support the kitchen team to maintain high performance, productivity and teamwork.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and hygiene in line with HACCP, health and safety regulations.
• Deliver high-quality pastries consistently and respond to guest requests and feedback.
• Improve health and safety practices and carry out additional duties assigned by the Senior Pastry Chef or Executive Chef.

Required profile

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent; culinary qualification preferred.
• At least 8 years' experience in a 5-star kitchen, including substantial pastry experience and kitchen leadership.
• Flexibility to work shifts and adapt to changing schedules.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of pastry, including cost control and pricing of ingredients and supplies.
• Leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• Excellent communication, organisation and time management skills.
• High attention to detail and basic computer literacy.
