About the role

The Pastry Commis B supports the pastry team by preparing and cooking baked goods according to recipes and quality standards. This entry‑level position ensures food safety, maintains a clean work environment, and assists with daily kitchen operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, and store food items for baking.
  • Use baking tools, measuring equipment, and kitchen appliances safely and accurately.
  • Follow food safety and personal hygiene policies, monitor temperatures, and report issues.
  • Wash, disinfect, set up and break down work stations, and adhere to sanitation procedures.
  • Monitor food quality and portion sizes throughout the shift.
  • Comply with company policies, safety training, and uniform standards.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Less than one year of related pastry or kitchen experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

  • Baking and pastry preparation.
  • Food safety handling and temperature control.
  • Use of kitchen appliances and measuring tools.
