About the role
The Pastry Commis II supports the pastry team by preparing and cooking food according to recipes, maintaining quality and presentation standards, and ensuring food safety throughout the shift.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, portion, chop, and store food before cooking.
- Use baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances safely to produce baked goods.
- Monitor and report kitchen appliance and food temperatures.
- Maintain sanitation by washing, disinfecting, and setting up/breaking down work stations.
- Observe food safety policies, personal hygiene, and company safety procedures.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Less than one year of related pastry or kitchen experience.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lb, stand for long periods, and work on uneven surfaces.
Required skills
- Proficiency with baking tools and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of food safety handling and sanitation procedures.
- Ability to follow recipes and quality standards accurately.
