Petroleum Engineer – ESP & Wireline Specialist

About the role

Petroleum Engineer responsible for planning and supervising rig‑based and rig‑less well operations, with a focus on ESP completion design, wireline interventions and production optimisation in Abu Dhabi and offshore sites.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and supervise rig‑based well operations, including ESP design, installation, commissioning and acid stimulation.
• Lead completion optimisation activities to improve ESP performance and reliability.
• Plan and supervise rig‑less operations such as wireline and slickline interventions and interpret data for well decisions.
• Analyse production performance, manage production data and propose technical solutions to optimise well and field output.
• Interpret pressure and well test data to evaluate reservoir and well performance.
• Prepare and manage annual budgets, monitor expenditure and ensure cost control for production and intervention activities.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, quality and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of petroleum engineering experience in the oil & gas industry.
• Hands‑on experience in wireline operations and ESP completion design and operations.
• Strong project management, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent English communication skills.
