Physiotherapist – Clinical Care (Level 1)

About the role

The Physiotherapist (Level 1) will deliver safe, evidence‑based physiotherapy services within SSMC’s designated units. Working under the senior physiotherapist, the role supports high‑quality patient care and contributes to the unit’s operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning, and delivery for acute and rehabilitation patients.
• Assist the senior physiotherapist in day‑to‑day unit operations and ensure service efficiency.
• Support implementation of strategic, financial, quality, and risk‑management plans.
• Maintain compliance with national licensing, organizational policies, and mandatory competencies (e.g., Basic Life Support, Infection Control, Fire Safety).
• Identify clinical and environmental risks proactively and contribute to mitigation strategies.
• Facilitate teaching and supervision of interns and students.
• Manage inventory of supplies and equipment according to established procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years post‑graduate experience as a physiotherapist in a large hospital or rehab facility.
• Experience across diverse settings such as ICU, acute medical/surgical, or pediatrics is preferred.
• UAE national status upon completion of internship.
• Relevant physiotherapy qualification (degree/diploma) as per local licensing requirements.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Infection Control competency.
• Fire Safety awareness.
