Pipe Fitter

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Pipe Fitter to join our team on oil and gas projects in Abu Dhabi. The role involves reading and interpreting piping drawings, preparing and installing pipe spools, and supporting commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Read and interpret piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, GA drawings, and construction specifications.
• Measure, cut, bevel, align, fit‑up, and assemble pipes, fittings, valves, flanges, and supports.
• Prepare pipe spools for welding and ensure proper alignment and dimensional accuracy.
• Install carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and other piping systems.
• Perform fit‑up activities for butt weld, socket weld, threaded, and flanged connections.
• Install pipe supports, hangers, guides, and anchors as per approved drawings.
• Coordinate with welders, riggers, and supervisors to complete piping activities efficiently.
• Conduct visual inspections of fit‑up and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
• Assist in hydro‑testing, flushing, pneumatic testing, and commissioning activities.
• Identify and report material shortages, defects, and construction issues.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure work areas remain clean and safe.
• Follow all HSE policies, permit‑to‑work requirements, and site safety procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Pipe Fitter in the Oil & Gas industry.
• ITI or relevant educational background.
• Familiarity with ASME, ANSI, API, and project‑specific piping standards.
• Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong knowledge of piping installation practices.
• Willingness to work in remote locations as required.
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Strong problem‑solving and teamwork abilities.
• Effective communication skills.
