Piping Draftsman – EPC Projects

About the role

Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in the UAE and is building a team of experienced Piping Draftsmen. The role is based in the site office and focuses on preparing and developing accurate piping drawings for construction and fabrication.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and develop piping layout drawings, plans, isometric and as‑built drawings.
• Convert engineering sketches, redline markups and design changes into detailed CAD drawings.
• Update drawings to reflect site conditions, engineering revisions and client comments while ensuring compliance with ADNOC standards and international codes.
• Coordinate with piping engineers, technical office staff, construction teams and document control to guarantee drawing accuracy and timely issuance.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision control and document tracking systems.
• Assist in preparing as‑built drawings and project handover documentation.

Required profile

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Piping, Drafting or Design Technology (or equivalent).
• Minimum 5 + years experience as a Piping Draftsman on Oil & Gas or EPC projects.
• Experience with ADNOC or GCC Oil & Gas projects is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory).
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks or equivalent 3D tools (advantage).
• Strong understanding of piping layouts, isometrics and construction drawings.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering specifications and related documents.
• Familiarity with Oil & Gas piping construction practices and attention to drawing accuracy.
