Piping Engineer III – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

The Piping Engineer III will join Enerflex’s Abu Dhabi project team on a six‑month contract to develop equipment and piping layouts, prepare specifications, and support technical bid evaluation for oil‑and‑gas facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review piping specifications, pipe classes and valve data sheets.
• Develop equipment and piping layouts and generate stress‑analysis reports.
• Conduct technical bid evaluations, vendor clarifications and document reviews.
• Coordinate with mechanical, civil/structural and supply‑chain teams to ensure design integration.
• Participate in client and vendor meetings, model reviews and schedule tracking.
• Ensure compliance with Enerflex HR, quality, HSE policies and project standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 10‑12 years of overall experience, including 5‑8 years in oil & gas piping design.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and travel to remote sites when required.

Required skills

• Piping design and equipment layout development.
• Pipe stress analysis and support selection.
• Technical bid evaluation and vendor coordination.
• Knowledge of international codes & standards (e.g., ASME, API).
• Selection of piping materials, valves and pipe supports.
