Planning Engineer – Building (Construction)

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to support building projects in Abu Dhabi. You will work closely with contractors, the client, and internal teams to ensure schedules are realistic, delays are identified early, and corrective actions are implemented.

Key responsibilities

• Review and validate the contractor’s baseline schedule against contract conditions and Parsons recommended practices.
• Develop a Master Schedule that integrates multiple packages, highlighting inter‑dependencies and impacts.
• Analyse progress schedules, identify potential delays, and propose mitigation measures.
• Conduct "what‑if" and time‑impact analyses for changes, variations, and events, providing alternative courses of action.
• Prepare regular progress and monthly reports with program analysis, recommendations, and presentations for interim and major milestones.
• Perform detailed claim assessments (Extension of Time, disruption) using delay analysis methodologies such as time‑impact and window analysis.
• Coordinate with contractors, the employer, and the client to resolve planning issues and finalise program reports.
• Attend project meetings, contribute inputs, and produce concise minutes.
• Maintain trackers and logs to monitor critical issues throughout design and construction.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years (96 months) of experience in construction planning and scheduling.
• Strong understanding of contract conditions and baseline schedule validation.
• Proven ability to conduct delay analysis, time‑impact analysis, and develop mitigation strategies.
• Excellent communication skills for coordination with contractors, clients, and internal teams.
