PMC Project Manager – Offshore Development (Abu Dhabi)

About the role

The PMC Project Manager will lead the overall management, supervision and successful delivery of a major ADNOC offshore project. The role ensures the EPC/EPCI contractor meets ADNOC requirements, contractual obligations, HSE standards, quality expectations, schedule and budget while providing leadership to a multidisciplinary PMC team.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and direction to the PMC project management and multidisciplinary teams.
• Act as the primary PMC interface with ADNOC Offshore, EPC/EPCI contractors, subcontractors and key stakeholders.
• Ensure successful delivery of project objectives in line with ADNOC requirements and the approved execution strategy.
• Oversee all phases of project execution, from engineering and procurement through fabrication, construction, offshore installation, hook‑up, commissioning and handover.
• Monitor EPC/EPCI contractor performance against schedules, milestones and quality standards, implementing corrective actions when needed.
• Manage interfaces between contractors, vendors, engineering teams, fabrication yards and offshore operations.
• Maintain effective working relationships with ADNOC Offshore and provide regular updates on progress, cost, risks and issues.
• Demonstrate strong HSE leadership and ensure contractor compliance with quality and inspection requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering; postgraduate qualification in Engineering/Project Management is an advantage.
• PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
• Extensive experience in the oil & gas industry, particularly on major offshore projects.
• Proven senior‑level experience as a Project Manager, PMC Project Manager or Project Director.
• Previous ADNOC or ADNOC Offshore project experience highly preferred.
• Strong background in managing engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation and commissioning activities.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams and manage EPC/EPCI contractor performance.
• Solid understanding of project controls, scheduling, cost management, risk and change management, and contractual/commercial matters.
