PMC Specialist Process Engineer

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PMC Specialist Process Engineer with a proven track record delivering high‑profile projects for Middle East clients on major offshore assignments. The role sits within Wood’s Oil, Gas & New Energies business and supports the full project lifecycle from design through to operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate process engineering activities across all project phases, ensuring compliance with client specifications, schedules and budgets.
• Act as the primary PMC focal point for process engineering matters between the client, EPC contractor and regulatory authorities.
• Review and verify process design deliverables, including simulations, heat and material balances, PFDs, P&IDs and equipment data sheets.
• Participate in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL and other safety assessments and ensure process safety and operability requirements are met.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in oil and gas, with extensive offshore project exposure.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Process simulation and heat/material balance calculations.
• Development and review of P&ID, PFD and utility flow diagrams.
• Hydraulic analysis, line sizing and pressure drop calculations.
• Design of relief, flare and blowdown systems.
• Conducting HAZID, HAZOP and SIL assessments.
