Post-Contract Quantity Surveyor

About the role

AECOM is looking for a detail-oriented, analytical Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract to join its team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The role manages all post-contract financial and contractual matters for building projects, working closely with project teams, contractors and clients to ensure accurate cost management, contract compliance and successful project delivery. It calls for a professional approach to problem-solving and meticulous documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and administer post-contract financial matters, including cost tracking, forecasting and budget control
• Process and evaluate contractor claims, variations and change orders with thorough analysis and documentation
• Prepare cost reports, financial statements and project valuations for stakeholders
• Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets and identify cost variances
• Negotiate and resolve contractual disputes and claims professionally and on time
• Maintain comprehensive contract documentation, correspondence and records
• Conduct regular site inspections and measurements to verify work completion and quality standards
• Liaise with project managers, contractors, architects and clients on financial and contractual matters
• Prepare final accounts and settlement documentation on project completion
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, local regulations and industry standards
• Analyze and report on project financial performance and recommend cost optimization

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering or another construction-related field
• 4-5 years of post-graduate experience
• 2-3 years of experience in the Middle East

The position is on-site at the U-Bora Tower in Dubai. Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office.
