Primary Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join GEMS Founders School in Al Mizhar, UAE. The successful candidate will deliver the school’s curriculum to young learners, fostering a supportive and engaging classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality lessons that motivate students and cater for diverse learning needs.
• Maintain accurate records of curriculum plans, attendance, assessment data and teaching resources.
• Assess, record and report on student progress, using assessment outcomes to adapt instruction.
• Utilise media and technology to enhance learning experiences.
• Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed of student progress while respecting confidentiality.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, resource creation and co‑curricular activities.
• Perform clerical duties related to textbooks, instructional supplies and student records.
• Participate in appraisal, professional development and health‑and‑safety procedures.

Required profile

• Demonstrated knowledge of primary‑level curriculum and teaching methodologies.
• Ability to adapt instruction for varied student needs, including ESL, gifted, and low‑ability learners.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail in record‑keeping.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with parents, colleagues and external stakeholders.

• Competence in using media and educational technology.
