Primary Teacher (Maternity Cover) – October Start

About the role

Yasmina British Academy is seeking an experienced Primary Teacher to cover a maternity leave starting in October for the 2026/2027 academic year. The successful candidate will join a supportive school community and deliver the English National Curriculum to a diverse student body.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental policies aligned with the school’s vision and high‑achievement standards.
• Plan, monitor and evaluate short‑, medium‑ and long‑term departmental goals.
• Use data to identify under‑achieving students and create targeted intervention plans.
• Design and regularly review schemes of work for all year groups, including provisions for SEN/POD, G&T and EAL learners.
• Ensure curriculum continuity, progression and coverage for high‑ability and special‑needs students.
• Evaluate teaching quality, share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the school’s CAS programme and after‑school revision sessions.
• Manage departmental performance, resources and budgets in line with school policies.

Required profile

• Secure knowledge of the English National Curriculum.
• Proven track record of raising standards and closing learning gaps.
• Leadership experience at various levels and ability to work collaboratively.
• Alignment with the school’s core values and appreciation of regional cultural values.
