Primary Teacher - Noya British School, Abu Dhabi

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting a Primary Teacher for Noya British School in Abu Dhabi to join in Academic Year 2027/2028. Noya British School is the newest flagship school of the Aldar Schools brand, located on Yas Island in a community close to amenities and an international environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement departmental policies and practices that reflect the school's vision and commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
• Establish, monitor and evaluate short, medium and long-term departmental development plans.
• Use data to identify underachieving students and set up action plans to support them.
• Analyse school data to inform policies and the school's Self-Evaluation Form.
• Ensure schemes of work are in place and regularly reviewed for all year groups, with provision for SEN, G&T and EAL students.
• Ensure curriculum coverage, continuity and progression for all students, including those of high ability and with special educational needs.
• Set expectations for staff on standards of achievement, teaching quality and behaviour, and evaluate teaching and learning to drive improvement.
• Contribute to the school's CAS programme and after-school revision sessions for I/GCSE and IB DP courses.
• Performance manage the team, deploy staff and resources efficiently, and control the department's resource and capital budgets.
• Maintain a stimulating learning environment in line with the Learning Environment Policy.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in the related subject with a PGCE or other teacher qualification.
• Minimum 1-2 years of teaching experience.
• Experience of the UK curriculum.
• Previous experience working with students whose first language is not English.
• Recent and consistent involvement in extra-curricular activities.
• Clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance; offers are subject to satisfactory references and police clearance.
